Shameless Ego Posting
Okay, I’ll admit it: I’ve made my share of shameless ego posts on Usenet. I’m still making them because I like the interactive medium, but with the blogosphere growing daily, communities are becoming a more viable way to exchange ideas.
In case you haven’t figured it out, I’m a Freemason. And in case you were wondering, I’m also a Taoist. One of the translations of the word “tao” is the word “way”, which corresponds nicely to the idea that this blog is intended as a way for me to express my thoughts and ideas about my Masonic Travels. I originally thought about creating this back in the fall of 2005, when I was about to be installed as the Worshipful Master of Friendship Lodge. I found that I was much busier than I had anticipated I would be, and only now, as we break for the summer, do I have the opportunity to gather my thoughts… and hopefully create some more consistent habits.
And of course, the inevitable disclaimer:
My opinions are my own. This is my own web log, and I’m writing only as myself and not to advance any positions or opinions of any official Masonic body. And as for official Taoist positions? Well, you know…
Good to see you on here. I can’t wait to read what you have to say!

MT – Thanks for that. I apologize for not getting your permission to link to your blog; I had only set this up last night and was playing with the settings and hadn’t expected that anyone would see it yet!
I have been reading your stuff on and off for a while now, and have to say that some of your stuff recently inspired me to branch off from my regular Usenet haunts. I only hope that I can do half as well as you’ve done.

Sorry, Just had to post something under a topic with this name.
